Overview of the Outreach

The Community Creative Center for Women and Girls with Disabilities (CCCWGD), in collaboration with its partners, brought smiles and renewed hope to women with disabilities in Bamenda through a meaningful end-of-year outreach activity. The initiative marked the official close of the Center’s programs for 2025 and focused on care, dignity, and empowerment.
Event Details and Partnerships
The outreach took place on 27 December 2025 at the SNEG Multipurpose Center, Bamenda, with support from partners including Queen PeacefulSTAR and TO GO Logistics Service, LLC. Their contributions played a vital role in ensuring the success of the event and reinforcing the spirit of solidarity.
Words of Encouragement and Purpose
Speaking during the event, CCCWGD CEO Nogning Armelle described the initiative as the second edition of “Bringing Hope and Healing to Women with Disabilities.” She highlighted the compounded challenges faced by women with disabilities, particularly within the context of the ongoing sociopolitical crisis, and encouraged beneficiaries to remain resilient and pursue their dreams beyond perceived limitations.
Support and Empowerment
Beneficiaries received assistive devices, including wheelchairs and crutches, to improve mobility and independence, alongside bags of rice to support end-of-year celebrations. These gestures addressed both immediate needs and long-term well-being.
Celebrating Talent and Inclusion
Beyond the donations, the women expressed their creativity through arts and crafts exhibitions, food displays, a fashion parade, and cultural performances, powerfully demonstrating that disability does not equate to inability. A standout moment was a vibrant dance performance by “The Silent Breakers,” a group of women with hearing impairment. Professional sign language interpretation ensured full inclusivity throughout the ceremony.
Looking Ahead
What began as a humanitarian outreach evolved into a colorful celebration of talent, resilience, and community strength, inspiring calls for future editions to grow into a full-fledged talent and creativity festival for women with disabilities. The event reaffirmed CCCWGD’s commitment to empowerment, inclusion, and sustainable impact.
