Great opportunities for growth emerge when minds and hearts come together to inspire change. A cross-section of the Community Creative for Women and Girls with Disabilities (CCCWGD) recently attended an insightful start-up conference hosted by LIGHT OUTREACH and the Ministry of Small & Medium-Size Enterprise. The event was a melting pot of ideas, innovation, and empowerment, offering invaluable lessons on building sustainable wealth.
One of the key takeaways from the conference was that wealth is not solely defined by money. True wealth requires a vision—a clear understanding of where you want to go and how you plan to get there. Vision empowers us to see opportunities where others see obstacles, especially for women and girls with disabilities striving to overcome societal challenges.
The conference emphasized the importance of cultivating the right mindset. A growth-oriented mindset enables individuals to adapt to changes, embrace lifelong learning, and remain resilient in the face of adversity. Additionally, building strong networks was highlighted as a cornerstone of success. These networks—financial, business, security, political, and spiritual—serve as a foundation for collaboration and mutual support, critical elements for achieving shared goals.

Strategic investments were another focus area, encouraging participants to invest not only in businesses but also in their health, people, and minds. This holistic approach ensures balanced growth and long-term sustainability. Patience and mindful communication were also spotlighted as indispensable traits for navigating the journey of wealth creation.
CCCWGD’s participation in this conference was more than just an opportunity to learn—it was a step toward empowerment and inclusion. By applying these principles, CCCWGD aims to continue empowering women and girls with disabilities, fostering a future where everyone has the tools to succeed.
